Rough Notes is a brand of Maze Stuff Private Limited.

You can delete some of your data and keep your account, or delete your whole account, at any time.

Delete some data, keep your account

One note: open the note → Delete.
Several notes: in Notes, hold a note → Select, tap the others → Delete.
Every note: Settings → Delete every page.
Deleted notes wait 30 days in Settings → Recently deleted, in case it was a mistake. To delete them for good straight away, open Recently deleted → Empty (or pick notes → Delete forever).
Without the app: email hello@themazestuff.com from the address you sign in with, saying what to delete. We do it within 30 days.

What's deleted: the note's photo, the text read from it, its tags and any words you fixed, from your phone and our servers. What's kept: your account, your email and your plan, until you delete the account.

Delete your whole account

Open Rough Notes → Settings → Delete account (at the bottom).
Want a copy first? Tap Download all my notes first on that screen.
Confirm, and your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app: email hello@themazestuff.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm it's you, then delete it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.

What's deleted: your account and email address, every note (photos, text, rough pages, tags, fixed words), and your plan and this month's counts.

How long anything is kept

Backups of our database expire within 30 days, so 30 days after any deletion nothing is left on our side. Notes saved on your phone stay there until you delete them or uninstall the app.

If you pay for Pro, cancel it in Google Play too (Payments & subscriptions), since Google bills it; deleting your account doesn't stop Google's billing.
